Jacques Kleynhans is an award-winning South African artist based in Lisbon, Portugal.

His grid-like layouts make use of typography, iconography and traditional illustration in colourful compositions. His style reminiscent of rebus puzzles, board games and educational look-and-learn posters keep revealing new quirky treasures.

Jacques was the winner of the World Illustration Awards - Exploration Category in 2020. His clients include The New York Times, Wired Magazine(UK), McSweeney's and Popular Science, amongst others.
